By Aaron Humes: Police have arrested a 21-year-old man and are looking for another in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on March 16. The incident unfolded at approximately 8:00 PM when Mark Castillo, 31, and a minor, 17, were waiting for their bicycles near a residence on Neal Pen Road Extension.

According to the reports filed at the Crimes Investigation Branch (CIB), a red motorcycle approached the two young men, and the passenger allegedly brandished a firearm and pointed it at them. Fearing for their safety, Castillo and Olivera sought refuge behind an abandoned house, moments before they heard what they described as several gunshots.

The motorcycle sped off towards Central American Boulevard, where a police unit, already in the vicinity, managed to intercept the bike. The rider of the motorcycle, Demarion Lamb, was detained on suspicion of involvement in the assault.

Following the incident, forensics teams recovered several nine-millimeter expended casings, a black ski mask, and a helmet from the scene.

On March 19, police obtained a warrant and formally charged Lamb with two counts of aggravated assault. Police are still seeking the primary suspect, who remains at large. The community is urged to assist with any information regarding his whereabouts.
