Aaron Gamboa, senior Police officer, denied travel to U.S.

By Aaron Humes: Head of the Police Department’s Special Patrol Unit (SPU), Superintendent of Police Aaron Gamboa, was prevented from traveling to the United States on Saturday after his visa was put on hold.

Gamboa was stopped at the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA) as he attempted to board a flight with his wife, who was allowed to travel.

According to reports, Gamboa was informed that his visa had been flagged, and he would not be permitted to enter the United States. The reason for the visa hold, he believes, is linked to the ongoing investigation into the Joseph Budna abduction case, in which officers from the Special Patrol Unit (SPU) have been implicated.

Gamboa, as the commanding officer of the SPU, denies any involvement.

Gamboa has stated that he will consult with his lawyer and the U.S. Embassy to resolve the matter. He expressed confidence that he would be cleared of any suspicion, emphasizing his innocence.
