By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Two police officers attached to the Orange Walk Police Station have been criminally charged with extortion.
They are Sergeant Branston Peters and PC Aguilar, who is attached to the Quick Response Team.
The officers are expected to be arraigned in the Orange Walk Magistrate’s Court today, Wednesday, October 28.
Details of the allegations against them have not yet been released.
The officers are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
