By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP) : The world’s biggest economy just made AI a matter of national priority.
President Donald Trump has formed a Super Intelligence Force to coordinate the US Government’s push to lead the world in advanced artificial intelligence. Top officials will steer it, tech giants have signed on, and it reports straight to the White House.
The message is clear. AI is not the future. It is now.
Which raises a big question at home: what is the Government of Belize doing?
Is there a national AI strategy? Who in Government is responsible for it? Are our schools preparing students for an AI driven job market? Are our public services, businesses and BPO workers ready for the changes AI will bring? And what protections are in place for Belizeans’ data and privacy?
Small countries cannot afford to sit on the sidelines. AI will shape jobs, education, healthcare, tourism and security, whether we plan for it or not.
The US is moving fast. Belize needs to move too.
BBN invites the Government of Belize to tell Belizeans what its plan is for artificial intelligence.
What do you think, Belize? Is our country ready for the AI age?
