By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police have detained a Guinea Grass Village resident after he allegedly fired two shotgun blasts at his neighbour’s home over the Independence weekend.
Police say officers responded to reports of shots being fired in the Orange Walk District village on Sunday, September 20.
When officers visited the residence, the occupant reported that he had been at home when a male neighbour approached the property and allegedly fired two shots from a shotgun.
No one was injured during the incident.
The neighbour was subsequently detained and remained in police custody as of Tuesday’s press briefing. Police said the media will be advised once investigators determine what charges, if any, will be brought.
