By Zoila Palma: Belize and Mexico are strengthening economic ties through a business round aimed at identifying new opportunities for trade and investment between the two countries.
On Tuesday, September 15, 2026, the Belize Trade and Investment Development Service (BELTRAIDE) participated in the Mexico–Belize Business Round as part of the Belize 2026 Trade Mission.
The event brought together a distinguished business delegation from Quintana Roo, Mexico, along with key Belizean representatives, including Mexico’s Ambassador to Belize, Ana Luisa Vallejo Barba; Belize Chamber of Commerce & Industry CEO Kim Aikman; Director of the Investment Policy and Compliance Unit Lincoln Blake; and Lianne Torres, Manager of BelizeINVEST, a unit of BELTRAIDE.
More than 28 Belizean enterprises participated in discussions across several key sectors, including agribusiness, manufacturing, logistics, energy, hospitality and financial services. The engagement provided an opportunity for businesses to explore potential partnerships while highlighting Belize’s market potential and opportunities for cross-border investment.
BELTRAIDE said the mission reflects Belize’s commitment to strengthening sustainable economic integration across the region and building lasting partnerships with Mexican counterparts.
