By Breaking Belize News Staff: Goldburne Glenford Adolphus, better known as “Easy Glen,” will remain on remand after another adjournment in the murder case stemming from the October 2025 killing of school warden Shaniele Faber.

Adolphus appeared in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday expecting his preliminary inquiry (PI) to begin, but the matter could not proceed because the Chief Magistrate, who has carriage of the case, was unavailable.

Adolphus, who was represented by attorney Norman Rodriguez, questioned why the case was being adjourned again and appeared disappointed by the latest delay. The sitting magistrate explained that she could not proceed with the matter because it is assigned to another magistrate.

The case was adjourned until November 10, 2026.

Adolphus has been on remand since he was arraigned on October 7, 2025, for the murder of 42-year-old Faber, a school warden and mother of four. Her partially decomposed body was discovered inside a blue garbage drum at the corner of Amandala Drive and Cemetery Road in Belize City on October 4. Public reporting at the time indicated that surveillance footage and evidence recovered from a nearby apartment formed part of the police investigation.

Police reportedly recovered a bloodstained machete, trolley and blood samples from the secondary scene. Adolphus was subsequently arrested and charged with murder.

The case has faced several delays. In July, the matter was adjourned to September 2 for the preliminary inquiry, with Rodriguez indicating that he intended to challenge aspects of the prosecution’s evidence.

Adolphus has reportedly received disclosure consisting of approximately 90 pages, 30 photographs and three DVDs as the case moves toward the preliminary inquiry stage.
