By Zoila Palma: Today, the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) in its continued mission to provide safe and affordable housing for Belizeans, handed over another starter home to a deserving resident of the Silk Grass community in Stann Creek.
The recipient, who previously resided in a makeshift zinc structure, was recognized for her resilience and determination in the face of long-standing hardships.
MIDH noted that her story has provided lasting inspiration within the community, so much so that Area Representative Dr. Louis Zabaneh officially announced that the immediate residential area would be named “Perlville” in honor of the recipient.
