It was billed as a mismatch on paper, with Brazil’s galaxy of stars expected to have far too much for Norway. But football does not always follow the script, and the Scandinavians produced a performance full of belief and quality to stun the pre-tournament favourites.
Far from sitting back and hanging on, Norway took the game to Brazil. They bossed possession, enjoying around 66 percent of the ball, and looked the more composed and threatening of the two teams.
