By Breaking Belize News Staff: Police are hunting for a 25-year-old Belize City man after his ex-girlfriend reported he forced his way into her home and raped her on Thursday afternoon.
The 28-year-old victim walked into the local police station at 4:58 p.m. on July 2, 2026—less than two hours after the assault—to report the crime. She told investigators that the suspect targeted her at her own residence around 3:00 p.m. and forced her into sexual intercourse against her will.
Detectives immediately launched an active investigation into the assault. Authorities are currently searching for the suspect, though officials have not yet confirmed if charges have been formally filed.
