By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can expect another day of mixed weather conditions as relatively moist and unstable conditions continue to affect the country.
According to the National Meteorological Service, cloudy skies with occasional sunny breaks will dominate much of Monday, while a few showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected, particularly across inland and southern areas.
Forecasters say the shower activity should gradually decrease by late afternoon before redeveloping over southern Belize tonight.
Temperatures will remain warm but slightly cooler than recent days, with highs reaching 88 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast and 93 degrees inland.
The unsettled conditions follow the passage of a tropical wave that increased moisture across the country over the weekend.
Residents in southern communities are being advised to keep umbrellas close by, as showers and thunderstorms could become more active during the evening and overnight hours.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, forecasters expect cloudy spells to continue with isolated showers and thunderstorms affecting mainly southern Belize.
Despite the increased moisture, there is good news from the tropics.
The National Meteorological Service reports that no tropical cyclone formation is expected in the region during the next 48 hours.
For now, Belizeans should prepare for a mix of clouds, sunshine, and occasional rainfall as the country remains under a relatively unstable weather pattern.
