By Zoila Palma: On June 18, 2026, Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and New Growth Industries Rodwell Ferguson and Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture, Luis Alex Balona participated in Day 2 of a tour of the Orange Walk District.
Ministers Ferguson and Balona met with the Orange Walk District Agriculture Station Staff and then handed over materials to the Orange Walk and Corozal stations.
The Ministers and their team then visited Caribbean International Brewery, located in Carmelita Village.
The visit continued with a tour at the farm of Andres Cima to observe his usage of SAIB project funds, and continued to Northern Dairy Farmers Cheese production facility in Shipyard.
The team also toured Green Hills Farm, where cattle rancher John Wall took them on a tour of his ranch facilities.
Ministers Ferguson and Balona were joined at the CIB facilities by Minister of Health and Wellness and Area Representative of Orange Walk East Kevin Bernard, and at the Green Hills Ranch by Jose Mai. Area Representative of Orange Walk South.
