Information reaching Breaking Belize News is that prominent musician, entertainer and former journalist Brother Fem Cruz has passed away.
According to reports, Cruz was placed in an induced coma earlier this week after suffering a fall at his home. He was rushed to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where he passed away at approximately 11:30 this morning.
Brother Fem was well known throughout Belize for his contributions to music, media and public life. Over the years, he built a reputation as a talented performer and respected broadcaster whose voice became familiar to thousands of Belizeans.
He was also a frequent host and contributor on PlusTV’s popular morning program Rise and Shine, where he appeared alongside media executive Louis Wade and other presenters.
News of his passing has already begun generating an outpouring of tributes from friends, colleagues, fans and members of the entertainment community.
For many Belizeans, Brother Fem was more than a musician or broadcaster. He was a personality who brought energy, laughter, conversation and culture into homes across the country.
