By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A dangerous driving alert is circulating on social media this Sunday morning after a concerned Belizean motorist captured a photograph of a red pickup truck swerving erratically on the Northern Highway coming out of Buena Vista Village heading toward Orange Walk.

The post shared at 7:42 this morning described a driver suspected of being under the influence swerving side to side on the highway. The person who raised the alarm stated they personally attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver refused to pull over and accelerated away instead.

The image shared shows the red pickup traveling on the Northern Highway with other vehicles visible nearby. Anyone on that stretch of road this morning was sharing the highway with a driver displaying behavior consistent with serious impairment.

The concerned motorist appealed directly and urgently to Orange Walk police to intercept the vehicle immediately.

A swerving vehicle on a busy highway on a Sunday morning when families are traveling, children are in cars and other road users are simply trying to get where they are going safely is not a minor concern. It is a life threatening situation that demands an immediate response.
