By Aaron Humes: A 24-year-old woman is in stable condition after sustaining a gunshot wound Sunday evening at Samuel’s Farm in Gracie Rock Village outside Hattieville.
Police received a report around 5:30 p.m. on April 26, 2026, that a female had been shot and was being transported to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital (KHMH). Hattieville officers intercepted a black Mazda SUV at Mile 17 on the George Price Highway.
Police were told that the Belize City resident and public servant was shot in the right side of her buttocks while opening a gate to exit Samuel’s Farm, but no one else was seen in the area and no gunshot was heard. The victim is listed in stable condition at Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital
Police conducted checks at Samuel’s Farm but found no expended shells and were unable to establish a crime scene. Others police spoke to said they heard no gunshots and were unaware of anyone being shot.
The investigation is ongoing.
