By Aaron Humes: An incident of aggravated assault was reported on Friday afternoon, when a 16-year-old student contacted the police regarding a threatening encounter at his home.
According to the teenager, he was at his residence located at the corner of Flamingo Street and J.C. Street around 3:00 PM when he encountered two individuals known to him who arrived on separate bicycles. They were reportedly seeking a person known as “Cat.” When informed that Cat was not present, tensions escalated as the duo began to verbally threaten the complainant, alleging that Cat was involved in the recent death of one of the accused’s brother, whose body had been discovered earlier that same day.
Then, the older of the two dismounted his bicycle, drew a black object resembling a firearm from his waist, and pointed it directly at the teenager. He moved away from the window, trying to avoid further confrontation. His older sister intervened, asking the two men to leave, which they ultimately did.
Police were called and one person detained as investigations continue.
