Belize City woman busted for handling stolen goods

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Belize City woman is facing criminal charges following a police investigation into a reported theft.

Reports are that on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at around 8:30 p.m., police acted on a complaint made by a city resident which led to the arrest of 50-year-old Martha Ferrell, a laborer of #7370 Arlington Drive, Belize City.

Ferrell was formally arrested after police secured a warrant and has since been charged for the offence of handling stolen goods.

Following her charge, Ferrell was cautioned but chose to remain silent.

Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
