By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Sunday afternoon meant for rest turned into a scene of violence for one Orange Walk resident this past weekend.
Police are currently looking for a man accused of attacking his partner during a heated confrontation at their home on Smith Sonia Street.
The victim told investigators that the argument turned life-threatening when her partner allegedly placed his hands around her throat. In a further act of aggression, the man reportedly snatched a silver chain from her neck, destroying the jewelry before fleeing the scene.
Medical professionals who examined the woman documented her injuries, leading police to issue a wanted person notice for the suspect.
As of Wednesday, the suspect remains at large, and the investigation into the Sunday, April 5 incident continues.
