Two new magistrates sworn in before Chief Justice in Belize

By Breaking Belize News Staff: Belize’s judiciary welcomed two new magistrates on Tuesday after David Edmund and Jana Peccoo were officially sworn in at the High Court before Chief Justice Madam Louise Esther Blenman.

The ceremony marked the latest step in the expected arrival of six to seven new magistrates set to strengthen the country’s judicial system.

Edmund and Peccoo were called to the Bar during the proceedings and are expected to begin duties within the Magistrate’s Court. Their specific court assignments have not yet been announced.

The appointments come as part of ongoing efforts to bolster the judiciary and improve the administration of justice across Belize.
