By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A domestic dispute in Guinea Grass Village, Orange Walk District, turned violent on Tuesday evening, leaving a woman injured and shaken.
Reports indicate that around 6:15 p.m., the woman’s common-law husband arrived home, borrowed her sky-blue Redmi cell phone, and began questioning her about a conversation.
The situation quickly escalated when the man, reportedly dissatisfied with her response, became aggressive.
He allegedly grabbed her, pushed her, and punched her in the face, causing visible injuries and breathing difficulties. Her cell phone was also reportedly damaged during the altercation.
The woman told police that the suspect issued a chilling death threat, warning that no one would be able to help her.
After the incident, the man reportedly fled the scene on a red motorcycle, taking their one-year-old child with him.
A medico-legal examination later confirmed her injuries as wounding.
