By Zoila Palma: The Government of Belize’s low-income housing programme continues to expand access to affordable housing through targeted developments such as Highland Estates, Minister of Infrastructure Development and Housing Julius Espat said.
The project reflects a broader policy focus on increasing home ownership opportunities while improving living conditions for vulnerable families.
Minister Espat explained that in addition to constructing homes, the programme integrates supporting infrastructure, including roads and drainage systems, to ensure long-term sustainability of new communities.
MIDH’s housing program is a flagship pillar of Plan Belize 2.0.
