By Zoila Palma: During Thursday’s budget presentation, Miguel Guerra, the Cayo West Area Representative commended the Briceno administration for the national budget.
“I want to commend the Government of Belize and all those involved for the hard work put in the preparation of this national budget. Putting together a budget for an entire country is not easy. That requires careful planning and responsibility and that effort is recognized. I want to say I am pleased to see the implementation of the National Health Insurance. This is something that many Belizeans have been waiting for because it has allowed our people to seek medical attention without having to pay large amounts of money,” Guerra said.
In addition, Guerra thanked Minister Michel Chebat for his support.
“I want to take this time to thank one of the ministers who supported me since I entered, and that minister is Michel Chebat. I want to give my thanks to a person who I believe is not a political man, he is a man of work and I consider him as not a political person, I consider him as a man of work in San Jose Succotz my largest village I had the support of the minister, and the times I asked him he supported me not with one or two or three streets in San Jose Succotz but he has supported me with all the streets in San Jose Succotz and not just streets even culverts he put in San Jose Succotz,” Guerra expressed.
