Belize Weather: Cloudy and wet Thursday

By Breaking Belize News Staff: The National Meteorological Service forecasts mostly cloudy skies with some showers, periods of rain and a few thunderstorms countrywide, possibly redeveloping tonight over coastal and southern areas after a slight break in activity by this evening as moist and unstable conditions prevail.

High temperatures peak at 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 83 degrees in inland areas and 72 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 70 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 64 degrees inland and 60 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at ten to 20 knots with moderate seas. Operators of small crafts should exercise caution due to the presence of strong gusty winds and locally rough seas near heavy showers and thunderstorms.

Tides will be low at 9:15 this morning and high at 4 p.m. this afternoon. The sun rose at 5:52 this morning and will set at 6:04 this evening.

Friday sees cloudy, showery weather with isolated thunderstorms continuing countrywide and especially over central and southern areas.
