Belize Police Department honors PC Kimberly Moore at 2026 Outstanding women’s awards

By Zoila Palma:  Today, the Belize Police Department (BPD) recognized Police Constable Kimberly Moore at the 2026 Outstanding women’s awards.

PC Moore,35, regulation number 1669, is currently attached to the Community Oriented Policing Unit in the Belmopan Formation.

PC Moore has dedicated 12 years to the Belize Police Department and has consistently demonstrated professionalism, commitment, and a strong passion for public service.

“Through her work, P.C. Moore actively engages with children and youths, promoting positive behavior, sound decision-making, and respect for authority. She firmly believes that children are the future and takes every opportunity to guide and inspire them. Her efforts include school visits, youth engagement programs, and community outreach initiatives focused on personal safety, discipline, and crime prevention,” the BPD said.

Beyond her official duties, PC Moore volunteers her personal time with organizations such as Pathlight Belize and Special Olympics Belmopan. She participates in clean-up campaigns, charity drives, and social events and delivers presentations on conflict resolution and emotional support.

Additionally, she independently coordinates the collection and distribution of donated clothing to assist families in need and uses social media platforms to mobilize support for children preparing for the school year.

Throughout her career, PC Moore’s outstanding dedication, perseverance, and hard work have earned her numerous recognitions, including multiple “Officer of the Year,” “Exceptional Officer,” and “Outstanding Community Policing Officer of the Year” awards. She has also been recognized by various schools and the National Drug Abuse Council for her invaluable contributions and service.

The BPD says that P.C. Moore exemplifies the true spirit of community policing, consistently demonstrating the values of respect, responsibility, integrity, and service both in and out of uniform.
