By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk have charged a 17-year-old following a traffic stop in Guinea Grass Village.

Reports indicate that around 4:15 p.m. on March 14, 2026, officers conducting motorcycle patrol observed a male riding a blue motorcycle without wearing a protective helmet.

The rider stopped at a shop but was later intercepted by police as he attempted to leave.

Officers informed him of the traffic violation and requested his driver’s license. He reportedly stated that he did not have one.

Further checks revealed that the motorcycle had no license plate, was not insured, and was not licensed.

Police informed the minor of the offences and escorted him to the Guinea Grass Sub-Station after contacting his parent.

He was later detained pending charges and formally charged with driving a motor vehicle not covered by third party risk insurance, driving an unlicensed motor vehicle, and driving without a valid Belize driver’s license.
