By Breaking Belize News Staff: A 31-year-old Orange Walk resident was detained early Sunday morning after police allegedly found him in possession of suspected cocaine.
Around 2:00 a.m. on February 22, 2026, officers were conducting mobile patrol along the Philip Goldson Highway in Trial Farm Village when they intercepted a man walking south.
During a search, police discovered a small clear plastic bag containing a white powdery substance suspected to be cocaine in his back right pants pocket.
The substance was taken to the Orange Walk Police Station where it was weighed and amounted to 0.2 grams.
The individual was identified as Victor Augustine Molina Cervantes, a 31-year-old construction worker of Queen Victoria Avenue, Orange Walk Town. He was detained pending charges of possession of a controlled drug.
