By Zoila Palma: On February 9, 2026, Leader of the Opposition Tracy Panton met with the Ambassador of Brazil to Belize, Agemar de Mendonça Santos, at his office in Belmopan.
“We enjoyed a productive exchange on issues of mutual interest to both our countries, as well as recent developments across the hemisphere. The meeting lasted an hour and a half,” Panton said.
Belize and Brazil established formal diplomatic relations in March 1983.
“We look forward to strengthening the bonds of cooperation and friendship between our two nations,” the Leader of the Opposition expressed.
