Ministry of Tourism extends condolences on passing of veteran tour-guide Rudy Burgos

By Zoila Palma:  The Ministry of Tourism, Minister Anthony Mahler and the Belize Tourism Board are extending condolences on the passing of veteran tour-guide Rudy Burgos.

“His passing represents a profound loss to Belize’s tourism and conservation community.

Rudy dedicated his life to sharing the wonders of Belize’s birdlife and natural landscapes with the world. Through his work as a guide and his genuine love for nature, he inspired countless visitors and Belizeans to appreciate the beauty and importance of our environment. His contributions played a meaningful role in strengthening Belize’s reputation as a premier destination for nature-based and bird-watching experiences,” the BTB said.

The Belize Tourism Board noted that beyond his remarkable knowledge, Rudy will be remembered for his kindness, humility, and the warmth he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on through the many people he inspired to cherish and protect Belize’s natural treasures.
