By Aaron Humes: Several schools in the Belize City area and elsewhere are advising students to “bundle up” against cooler temperatures than normal today.
Schools such as St. Catherine Academy, Belize High School, Edward P. Yorke High School and others have declared “Casual Days” for today and in some cases through Wednesday, allowing students to wear long pants, sweaters, jackets and boots and other casual clothing instead of uniforms, although in most cases school rules still apply. At SCA, students from the Cayes will be allowed to stay home and take online classes.
Parents are encouraged to dress their children appropriately, but in some cases pajamas and sweatpants will not be allowed.
Temperatures will remain relatively cool for most of this week according to the National Meteorological Service.
