Fast food vendor in City hit by burglars

By Aaron Humes: A vendor’s fast food stall on La Croix Boulevard was broken into sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning in Belize City.

According to the vendor, she was called around 4 a.m. and told the door of the stall was open. When she went to check on the stall, she found the padlock hasp broken on the door on the south side of the building. Going inside, she noticed that her cash pan, an amount of bottles of juice and a blender were missing. She re-secured the building and returned at 7 a.m. to more thoroughly check the building.

On her return she noted the following items missing: one black cash pan containing $170 cash in various denominations and $30 in coins; a blender (unknown brand) valued at $150; One fan valued at $37, One cooler valued at $85, One power outlet valued at $9.50, thirty bottles of juice, valued at $1 each, totaling $30. The total value of items stolen amounts to $511.50.

Police continue their investigations.
