By Rubén Morales Iglesias: The 2025-2026 Westline Premier Women’s League of Belize has officially released its Closing Season schedule, and even with a reduced field, the storylines feel bigger than ever. Four clubs remain—each carrying their own history, their own urgency, and their own dream of lifting the trophy on 9 May.
Napoles FC come in as defending champions, steady and confident after proving they can finish a season with authority. Sagitun GIRLZ, former champions, return eager to reclaim their top position.
Corozal Elite FC, third in the last regular season, continue their upward climb, convinced that their breakthrough moment is coming. And Jewel Fury FC—once the most dominant team in the league just two seasons ago—enter this campaign with something to prove. Their fall from the top was sharp, but their belief in a resurgence remains strong. This season offers them a chance to reclaim the aura they once carried so naturally.
Absent from the Closing Season are the Cayo Dreamers and the Jaguars Girls, the latter essentially the U16 Belize Girls National Team. Their departure tightens the field and heightens the stakes for the four remaining contenders.

Two matches, two very different atmospheres, both carrying early‑season weight.
A Short, High‑Stakes Sprint
With only four teams, the regular season becomes a tight two‑round race—just six matches in total—scheduled to conclude by Saturday, 28 March. Every point will matter. Every lapse will echo. Every win will feel like a step toward destiny.
All four clubs will advance to the semi‑finals, where seeding will shape the path:
- 1st place vs 4th place
- 2nd place vs 3rd place
The semi‑finals are set for 25 April and 2 May, both at 4:00 pm.

- Saturday, 9 May – 4:00 pm
FFB Stadium
Four clubs. One trophy.
A defending champion, a former powerhouse, a rising contender, and a side chasing redemption.
The PWLB Closing Season may be compact, but the narrative is rich—and Belizean women’s football is ready for another compelling chapter.
