Climate consultations continue in Stann Creek

By Zoila Palma:  The Belize National Climate Change Office (NCCO) continued district consultations in the Stann Creek District this week as part of nationwide efforts to shape Belize’s Multi-sectoral National Adaptation Plan (MNAP).

The session brought together local authorities, civil society, the private sector, academia, youth, and community members to ensure local perspectives inform national climate adaptation priorities.

The NCCO, under the Ministry of Sustainable Development, Climate Change and Solid Waste Management, thanked participants for their active engagement and encouraged stakeholders to attend upcoming sessions:

Belize District – Inland: January 28, 2026, 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Belize Biltmore Plaza

Caye Caulker & Ambergris Caye: January 29, 2026, 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., El Fogon Restaurant, San Pedro
