By Aaron Humes: Police are actively investigating the tragic shooting death of thirty-five-year-old security guard Darwin Valerio, who was fatally gunned down while on duty at the Belize Water Services warehouse. Several days have passed since the incident, and officials have yet to make any arrests.
During a press briefing, Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero revealed that while no suspects have been identified, the police are diligently pursuing leads. “Follow-up work was done on that murder again. We have some video footage. Those are being reviewed. At this time, no one has been arrested and charged.”
When questioned about the potential involvement of Valerio’s coworkers, Romero explained, “At this time, we don’t have any evidence on him, so the investigation continues.”
Police are also examining camera feeds from the surrounding neighborhood to gather more information on the incident.
Members of the community are urged to come forward with any additional information that could assist authorities in solving this crime.
