By Zoila Palma: Canadian national Alfred Pleil has not been seen or heard from since January 15, 2026.
According to reports, Pleil was reported missing after failing to show up at his usual diner in Punta Gorda.
Police reportedly found his vehicle abandoned in Indianville, Punta Gorda with the keys in the ignition.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Hilberto Romero says that police have interviewed Pleil’s friends in Punta Gorda but they have no leads to his whereabouts.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to call the nearest police station.
