By Aaron Humes: A security guard working at the Lords’ Bank office of Belize Water Services Limited (BWS) was shot dead early this morning, Friday.
According to police, they received information of shots fired about 1:32 p.m. and responded to the BWS warehouse where they found a man identified as security guard Darwin Valerio, 35, of Belize City.
According to Valerio’s colleague, they had spoken at about 8:20 p.m. Thursday and Valerio agreed to check the compound while he stayed in the booth. Valerio failed to return to the booth and police found his body with two gunshot wounds to either side of his back and two cell phones found either side of his body.
Police investigations are ongoing.
