Belize Weather: Rain hits midweek weather

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, a moist northeasterly airflow prevails.

The 24-hour forecast: generally cloudy skies with periods of rain or a few showers mainly over northern, central and offshore areas.

High temperatures today are forecasted at 80 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 83 degrees inland, but 71 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 71 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 65 degrees in inland areas, and 58 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northeast at five to 15 knots, resulting in moderate seas.

Tides are low as of 6:05 this morning. High tide occurs at 12:03 this afternoon and 11:44 tonight with another low tide at 5:40 this evening. The sun rose at 6:26 this morning and will set at 5:41 this evening.

The outlook for Thursday: cloudy skies at times with a few showers or periods of rain are likely to occur around the country. Activity will decrease and isolated showers or periods of light rain are expected mostly over central and northern coastal areas, on Thursday night.
