By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, a windy and cool north to northwesterly airflow prevails.
The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies and cool conditions to prevail, and showers or periods of rain, if any, will develop offshore and along the south coast today and tonight.
High temperatures today are forecasted at 78 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 80 degrees inland, but 70 degrees in the hills, with lows tonight around 68 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 63 degrees in inland areas, and 59 degrees in the hills.
Winds are from the north to northwest at ten to 20 knots with higher gusts, resulting in moderate to rough seas. A small craft caution is in effect. Operators of small crafts are advised to monitor the situation and exercise caution due to occasionally gusty winds and locally rough seas in northerly swells.
Tides will be high at 11:01 a.m. and 10:22 p.m. and low at 4:09 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:26 this morning and will set at 5:40 this evening.
The outlook for Tuesday and Tuesday night is for cloudy intervals along with a few showers or periods of rain to develop offshore and over the south. Elsewhere, showers will be isolated.
