Belize Weather: Clouds and rain due to cold front dominate Sunday weather

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, moist and unstable conditions prevail ahead of a cold front.

The 24-hour forecast calls for cloudy skies at times today, with isolated showers this morning. A few showers or light rain will affect most areas this afternoon and evening. Cloudy skies tonight with some showers, light rain and a few thunderstorms mainly over central and southern portions of the country.

High temperatures today are forecasted at 80 degrees Fahrenheit for most of the country, but 72 degrees in the hills. Low temperatures tonight will be around 68 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast; 64 degrees in inland areas; and 58 degrees in the hills.

Winds are from the north to northwest at ten to 20 knots, resulting in moderate seas.

Tides will be high at 10:31 a.m. and 9:43 p.m. and low at 3:27 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:26 this morning and will set at 5:40 this evening.

Cloudy and cool weather with some showers or light rain is forecasted for Monday, mainly offshore and over southern coastal areas.
