By Rubén Morales Iglesias: Kelly Street Bombers opened their Belize District Football Association (BDFA) First Division Closing Championship campaign with a confident 3–1 victory over 13 Miles Elite on Thursday at the Marion Jones Sports Complex, after the opening weekend had been pushed back due to bad weather.

Kelly Street’s goals came from Whitfield Fisher, Lemar White, and Delroy “Thinman” Andrews, while Denroy McNab scored for 13 Miles.

The win gives Kelly Street early momentum as the 2025–2026 Closing Championship gets underway in Belize City.

Originally scheduled for Sunday, the matches were postponed when heavy rain left the field unplayable. The BDFA managed to reorganize the triple‑header for Thursday’s George Price Day holiday, ensuring the tournament kicked off as planned.
