Police charge 19-year-old with theft of boots from Caribbean International Brewery

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police have formally charged a 19-year-old man following a theft reported at the Caribbean International Brewery Company Limited in Carmelita Village, Orange Walk District.

According to police, the report was made on Friday morning by the assistant manager of the company, who reported the theft of a pair of boots valued at sixty dollars. Investigations were launched, and police later conducted an interview with the suspect.

During the interview, the young man reportedly admitted to taking the boots. As a result, police swore upon an information and complaint and formally arrested and charged him for the crime of theft.

Police say the accused was cautioned and chose to remain silent following the charge. The matter is now before the court.
