By Aaron Humes: A man identified as Ian Arthurs, also known as “Slim”, was killed, and a woman, Sherlyn Butler, was injured in a shooting incident on Waight Street, in the south side of Belize City, earlier this evening.
According to preliminary reports, Arthurs and Butler were traveling in a truck owned by a suspected gang leader when they came under fire.
The police have not confirmed the details of the incident, but it is believed to be a gang-related attack. The police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made so far. Anyone with information is asked to come forward to assist with the investigation.
