Jahzara Pascual cemented her place among the elite of Belizean school basketball, winning the NSSSA Most Valuable Player award for the second consecutive year — this time with her own school, Bishop Martin High, at the Orange Walk Multipurpose Center in Saturday, December 13, 2025.
Pascual had first claimed MVP honours in 2024 while reinforcing San Pedro High School, leading them to the championship. In 2025, she repeated the feat by scoring 18 points in the semifinal against Wesley College and 19 in the 48–20 final win over Georgetown Technical.

Her achievement adds to a remarkable run by the Northern Region, which has won four consecutive NSSSA championships and produced the MVPs in each of those years:
- 2022 – National Champions – King’s College; MVP – Aldaeshuny Dixon
- 2023 – National Champions – King’s College; MVP – Aysha Acosta, San Pedro student reinforcing King’s College
- 2024 – National Champions – San Pedro High School; MVP Jahzara Pascual, Bishop Martin student reinforcing San Pedro High School
- 2025 – National Champions Bishop Martin High School, MVP – Jahzara Pascual

With both Acosta and Pascual — two MVPs — in Bishop Martin’s lineup, the team was exceptionally strong. Their partnership also reflected the reinforcement dynamic: Acosta, a San Pedro student, reinforced Bishop Martin this year, while Pascual had reinforced San Pedro last year. When King’s College won in 2023, they also had Dixon and Acosta playing for them. This exchange of talent under NSSSA rules highlighted the cooperative strength of the Northern zone and helped secure another championship.
