Government of Belize secures Japan’s support for replacement of swing bridge

By Zoila Palma:  Today, the Government of Belize, led by Prime Minister John Briceño, signed the agreement for the reconstruction of the Swing Bridge in Belize City with Hiromi Nai, Chief Representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (El Salvador Office).

Foreign Minister Francis Fonseca and Ambassador of Japan Ryosuke Yamakura also signed an Exchange of Notes.

The project, valued at approximately BZ $24 million, will replace the historic artery in Belize City.
