High Court Justice Nigel Pilgrim today ruled there is sufficient evidence for the case to proceed, determining the prosecution has established a prima facie case against Nah. The trial relates to the December 31, 2022, killings of Jon, David, and Vivian Ramnarace in Belmopan.
Key evidence deemed admissible includes a statement given by Vivian Ramnarace before her death. Nah’s defense team, led by Dr. Lynden Jones, has asked for time to review the ruling and prepare a submission of no case to answer. Nah maintains his innocence.
The case has been adjourned to February 2026. Before then, by December 22, a notice of alibi must be filed; on January 5, 2026, the no-case submission is due; on January 19, 2026, the Crown’s response is due and on February 9, 2026, the case resumes with judgment on whether Nah must mount a defense.
