Belize Weather: Cloudy and showery outbreaks heading into weekend

By Breaking Belize News Staff: According to the National Meteorological Service, relatively moist and somewhat unstable conditions prevail. Over the next 24 hours, it will be sunny with cloudy intervals today and cloudy at times tonight. A few showers or periods of rain with a low chance for isolated thunderstorms are expected around the country this morning, then mostly over inland areas by midday, decreasing. activity will then redevelop over some coastal and southern areas late tonight.

Average high temperatures forecast today will be 84 degrees Fahrenheit along the coast, 86 degrees in inland areas, and 75 degrees in the hills. Tonight’s low temperatures will be 76 degrees along the coast, 70 degrees inland, and 64 degrees in the hills.

Winds are easterly to northeasterly at five to 10 knots, and seas run choppy.

Tides will be low at 10:29 this morning and 11:19 this evening and high at 4:39 this afternoon. The sun rose at 6:13 this morning and sets at 5:19 this evening.

The extended outlook for Saturday: skies will be cloudy at times. Isolated showers and periods of light rain may develop mostly over some coastal areas.
