By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police and fire personnel are investigating the cause of a fire that destroyed a residence and damaged commercial storage containers in the Trial Farm area of Orange Walk on Friday. Responders reported that the fire consumed a wooden home located behind a local store, along with a second wooden structure used as a shed.
The property owner reported damage to several containers used for storage, including a thirty foot container that was completely lost. Another forty foot container suffered partial internal damage. No estimate of losses has been established.
Scene of crime personnel photographed the location, and investigators are awaiting a formal assessment from the Fire Department to determine the cause of the blaze. No one was present on the property at the time of the fire.
