
By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Alvin L. Young Nazarene High School in Cayo has announced two teaching vacancies as part of its recruitment for the 2026 academic year. The school is seeking a Temporary Spanish Teacher for the period January to April 2026, and a Full-Time Permanent Mathematics Teacher for a probationary period running January to December 2026.
Applicants for the Spanish position must hold at minimum an Associate’s Degree in Spanish and possess a valid teaching license. Candidates for the Mathematics position must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics with Pedagogy, along with a valid teaching license.
Salary will follow the Government of Belize Pay Scale.
Prospective applicants must submit a full application package, including:
- Cover letter and résumé
- Certified copies of qualifications
- Certified copy of valid teaching license
- Official transcripts
- Social Security card copy
- Birth certificate
- Recent police record
- Recent medical record
- Two character references
- Marriage certificate (if applicable)
The deadline to apply is December 15, 2025, and applications must be emailed to: Secretary@alynhs.edu.bz. The school stresses that incomplete packages will not be considered.
