A Family’s Gratitude
For the Chavarría family, for whom cycling is their first love, the campaign is more than a support network—it is a reflection of the collective spirit of Belizeans rallying behind their athletes. Cycling truly runs through the veins of the Chavarrías: from Joslyn Sr. to Joslyn Jr., Patricia, Paulita, Derrick, and others, their devotion to the sport extends beyond competition. They even organize cycling events in their home village of Georgeville, Cayo, keeping the spirit of the sport alive at the community level.
Their words reflect not only pride in Derrick’s achievements but also appreciation for the community that makes such milestones possible.
