By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): A Carmelita Village woman has reported a case of aggravated assault after her brother allegedly pointed a knife at her during a dispute at their home on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
The 22-year-old complainant told Orange Walk Police that she was outside cleaning a chicken for lunch when her brother approached and stood close to her. She placed the knife she was using on a nearby table, at which point he allegedly grabbed the knife, pointed it directly at her, and shouted: “I wa kill you!”
The woman said the threat caused her to fear for her life. She stepped back and attempted to calm him, but he continued insulting her before eventually releasing the knife and walking away.
A formal statement has been recorded, and the matter remains under investigation.
