By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Police in Orange Walk are searching for a man accused of damaging his ex-partner’s uniform during a confrontation at the Northern Regional Hospital on December 1, 2025.
The victim, a 36-year-old domestic supervisor, reported that she was working in the hospital’s laundry area when her former partner approached her. She said he handed her $60 to repay for damaged electrical wires, then requested to borrow her phone to make a call.
After using the phone, her ex allegedly began scrolling through her messages and became verbally abusive. The situation escalated when he grabbed her by her uniform shirt and pulled her with enough force to tear the garment.
The woman said she called for help from a coworker, prompting her ex to let go and leave the hospital.
Police have recorded her statement, and her ex is now wanted for questioning in connection with the incident.
